Note that the constitution is available for inspection here. It is marked draft but should be very close to final; if there are any significant changes there will be highlighted at the meeting.

The main purpose of the constitution is to cover us procedurally and legally in the case of a serious complaint – something which given the happy atmosphere in the club I hope will never happen, but it is good to be properly covered. The constitution is based as closely as possible on the EBU model club constitution, including the entire complaints procedure, and given that the EBU experts have spent time on this my instinct is to keep it the same as far as possible.

There will be bridge after the meeting and I hope we can cover all the business within half an hour or so.

The win gives the A team 147 VPs, ahead of Alderclarke with 119 points but one match still to play. This means the A team will be top of the division and promoted to Division 1 next year, the first time the club has had a team in the top division for at least 10 years.

The A team won 8 of their 10 matches, with an overall average of 14.7 VPs.
