About West Bridgford Bridge Club

West Bridgford Bridge Club meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in the Rushcliffe Arena.

The club was formed in 1965 and has had various venues until finally settling at the Rushcliffe Arena. This is a convenient location for members being central for the West Bridgford area with good access and safe parking. Disabled parking is also available and the Arena is wheelchair-access friendly.

Over the last six or seven years the club committee has introduced a degree of variety from the usual duplicate sessions such that there are now annual competitions for Swiss Pairs, Swiss Teams, Multiple Teams, Handicap Pairs, Aggregate Pairs and an Individual event. There are two teams entered in the Nottinghamshire Teams of Eight league.

New members are welcome. The club is particularly keen to encourage newcomers to the game of bridge and it cooperates with local colleges offering bridge courses.

We enjoy a competitive atmosphere, yet the club has a friendly reputation. The club is affiliated to the EBU and the Nottinghamshire Contract Bridge Association. There is a strict no smoking policy.
